Something's are better not forgotten, when they make you smile!

It seems to me that time flies away these days; like a plane in a hurry to get to it's final destination. I look at the calendar; the date, and realize my birthday is in 6 days. Where did the last 3 months go?

What am I doing for MY birthday? Absolutely nothing, I'm working a 24 hr shift with a elderly lady that makes me smile. Here are a few bantering's from her that made me smile; I call her M:

M: "I'm only kidding."
Me: "I'm gullible!"
M: "You're not gullible you're too smart, I couldn't ever get you to believe something that isn't true."
Me: "well, then its nice to meet you 'only kidding, I'm 'gullible.' ;)"

M: "Take your pick: it's coffee, tea, or me!"
Me: "may I please have some coffee please then?"

M: "When someone pays you attention that's when they like you, if they don't pay you no mind; They must not care about you!"
Me: "in other words... 'Let Him chase me?"
M: "that's right darlin', Your beautiful inside and out, someone amazingly perfect will notice someday and sweep you off your feet."

M: "You seem to have a lackadaisical way about you...."
Me: "WHAT? I rather don't think that's the right word to use to describe me."
M: "hold on, get me a dictionary darlin' not sure what it means.
Me: "lack·a·dai·si·cal Adjective:
Lacking enthusiasm and determination; carelessly lazy."
M: "OH, well then I TAKE IT BACK! You're completely opposite of lackadaisical!"

M: "Well now, I don't know if I'm on foot or horse back."
Me: what's that supposed to mean?
M: Well, It means I don't know what's going on.
Me: OH, Lol! Sorry, shall I guide the horse about for you; Want to go on a walk about?

M: "my auntie used to say to me: 'I'm busier then a cranberry merchant."
Me: "why?"
M: "because, she didn't want me bothering her while she baked pies!"
Me: "oh, sorry about that."
M: "why are you sorry? You're not my aunt."
Me: "Well, I just figured somebody needed to apologize."

And off I go... To spend time with someone else that makes me smile!
Smile today, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

So my week was crazy! Starting with goin to Athens on Tuesday for the day to visit friends and get some much needed fellowship.

Wednesday Nikki (my boss) left till today, she was in California. So I had to be on 24/4 hour duty with Grandma Curriny. It was an adventuresome 4 days. Nikki's ride to the airport didn't show up, so we ended up having to jump in the car and take her. We got there Just in time for her flight!

Thursday my brother came to fix somethings around the house and ended up making the fire alarm go off for over a hour, then left when he couldn't get it turned off. I didn't get any reply to the emergency texts and calls I made for over a hour and a half, so when I did I was able to disconnect the fire alarm myself! It was so easy!! My only wish is that I could have done it right away!!!.... We went to Red Lobster for my friend Liz's birthday. Then ha a great night together with another of my friends, Mara. Movie and gossip nights we all need them sometimes!!

On Friday grandma kept saying "I smell doggy poop!" I thought it was something that a friend was cooking in the kitchen in the crock pot, but come to find out.... I went into the restroom, and there was brown poop all over the rugs smeared everywhere. And when I walked into the kitchen there was in fact a trail of it from the bedroom and bathroom into the kitchen! Yuck!! So I immediately threw the rugs into the washer and scrubbed all the floors clean, went into Grandma's room to let her know. I asked her if shed gone outside to get the mail and to check her slippers. She picked them up, and there was the source!! She then proceeded to ask "what was on her slippers!" I was like "smell it is that what you've been smelling??" She says "yeah!" She says "where'd it come from?" I said "a dog? I hope!" she says "well, I don't have a dog!!" hehe... Anyways we got rid of the source too into the washer he slippers went!!

Today was a good day, no mishaps! And now I'm watching the Georgia/Florida game, an enjoying some normal entertainment ;)

Just a thought

I realized this morning that I didn't really say anything when starting this blog.

When I was in High school living in Europe, I had a blog, wish I could remember the address to it. That would probably be a "interesting" read to say the least. I've been wanting to do one again. So finally I'm getting around to doing it :). If no one reads this, I could care less, I'm mostly doing this for myself as a form of getting things off my mind and sharing what I'm doing in my day to dy life! to those of you who do read this blog welcome, and I hope you enjoy!

Today, should be interesting. Working on 3 hours of sleep the past couple nights. There is NO rest for the weary. I'm just starting my third day of work and realized last night I have already worked 24 hours at my full-time job this week. Lord give me strength like you always do.
